As WCCS waits for it's newest podcast, Radio Ryan Presents Three Ringos, to premiere this particular co-host has been wondering what are the best songs on the first four albums that The Beatles released? If you listen to these albums from start to finish as I have recently what's most surprising is not that there are some really great songs on it, that's to be expected. Rather the surprising part is that a lot of these songs are pretty bad. To qualify that, they're pretty bad songs for The Beatles to have released, and to have in their discography. If I was able to record any of these songs I would consider myself an accomplished musician. No it's not that these songs are out and out bad but rather it's hard to hear these songs without thinking of the greatness that was to come soon after. If you decide to listen to our new podcast and to listen to the albums yourself we encourage you to keep as open of a mind as possible. You're not getting the best of this bands work in these four albums but if you do listen to them you most likely will find ways to appreciate The Beatles in ways you hadn't before. And remember this music is what caused Beatlemania, so do with that information what you will.
Also as more episodes of Three Ringos are released expect more of these lists to appear on this website. If you really hate the songs we chose or the order we put them in, then just email us and say why, maybe we'll change our lists.
